TRAILERS!

Why hello there friends. I have not been able to put up a trailers post in ages, and since I am currently holed up in my room as my family creates chaos outside, I thought I’d start putting up some of the trailer videos I’ve had listed on here as a list for a week or two now. Now as always, there are some movies on here that have already been released, but I have not yet had the chance to watch. Enjoy! :)

The Company Men
There’s something about this movie. Usually I get chased off when a movie has too many so-and-so winners on the billing, but I respect all the men that are actually on here. Well, most of them. The plot seems predictable yet heartwarming in that forget-as-soon-as-I-exit-the-cinema kind of way, but then you never know.

Scream 4
Cast: Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, Rory Culkin, Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Adam Brody, Marley Shelton, Erik Knudsen, Brian Cox, Simon Gruber, Bianca Cutrona, Nico Tortorella, Alison Brie, Mary McDonnell, Anthony Anderson

OH COME ON. It’s Scream. It changed/affected the face of thrillers. I am completely unashamed that the reasons that I am watching this movie are

  1. Courtney Cox and David Arquette are in it, and I need to see them together again even though their marriage is pretty much over.
  2. It’s something that I’ve invested in and I need to see it through til the end. It’s just one of those things.
  3. It’s an interesting list of cast members that I need to see on screen. I doubt it’ll ever happen again.

So, who’s up for a Scream Night at my place? I’ll bring the movies, you bring the pizza and booze.

Happythankyoumoreplease

Awww this looks like it could be pretty bad, but the HIMYM lover in me needs to give Josh Radnor a chance. Besides, it won an award at Sundance, so I guess that alone makes it worth watching at least once. And even if it does turn out to be a steaming heap of turd, at the very least I hope it will have its shining moments. Kind of like season 5 of How I Met Your Mother. :|

Somewhere

One thing I love about Sofia Coppola is that she expresses herself extremely well through stunning visuals, and not necessarily through dialogue. And that’s fine. That’s beautiful, actually, and not easy to do. I’m looking forward to watching this movie because 1) It’s set in the Chateau Marmont hotel, and such a place that has such a rich background has always been in my bucket list of places to visit before I die. 2) Elle Fanning is too cute, and I don’t remember watching anything of hers just yet. 3) Coppola’s work always deserves at least one watch. At least.

The Other Woman

Oh Natalie. I haven’t even been able to watch Black Swan yet and already you’ve gotten me excited about a new one. Stop doing that, biatch!

The Dilemma

When a trailer can make me LOL, I make it a point to watch the movie. Sure sometimes it ends up that the LOL moment in the trailer was the only one I’d have, but I’m actually pretty excited about this movie. The cast is interesting – I had actually just been thinking about Queen Latifah recently, and wondering where she had gone. Then I watched this. – and I also make it a point to watch everything that Channing Tatum is in. Especially comedies. And except Dear John.

Take Me Home Tonight

Anyone who knows my movie tastes knows that I have an obsession with 80s teen flicks, and while it’s not really clear if this movie is only set in the 80s or it there is anything 80s about its plot at all, I’m still pretty excited about it. Anna Faris and Topher Grace are an interesting pairing, but really I think Anna Faris is one of those amazing women who is hilarious and dramatic in one go and can work with pretty much anyone in Hollywood.

Limitless

Some douchebag in the comments section spilled the beans on the plot twist, so now I know what’s going to happen in the movie. Even though I want to reach into my computer and give him a bitch slap even his mother will feel, I’m still excited about this movie since it has De Niro… and also because Bradley Cooper is beautiful and can actually act and I’ve been following his movies since I randomly caught I Want To Marry Ryan Banks one bored Thursday evening.

The Next Three Days

Did anyone else notice that Liam Neeson’s been working non-stop ever since his wife died? He did three movies in 2005, one of which was Aslan’s voice in the first Narnia installation, did one movie in 2006, no movies in 2007, three in 2008 and three in 2009, which was the year that his wife died. Since then he’s done 6 movies in 2010, most of which were big budget Hollywood blockbusters, and he already has four projects lined up for 2011 and three for 2012. I guess that’s one way to deal with grief. I feel bad for the guy, but I hope all the movie making is helping.

Morning Glory

I know this movie hasn’t been getting the best reviews, but it’s Rachel McAdams, Diane Keaton, Jeff Goldblum, and HARRISON FORD! Han Solo! Indiana Jones! How can you not watch this? Also, it was written by the same woman who wrote The Devil Wears Prada, so there’s that. Here’s to hoping!

Well that’s it for now. If you’re still reading, I salute you.
