When I was a little girl, I wanted nothing more than to be a Hollywood starlet. All my games included some fort of storytelling and acting/playing, be it adventure, mystery, or even romance. Acting was my first love. Now, I know that it’s probably never going to happen, but I still love and take every opportunity I can get to act on the stage.
Sheharazade is a group of young actors and theater folk that are hungry to tell you stories. I was fortunate enough to be a part of their premiering play, Euridis, which was a tagalog adaptation of the story of Euridice, or more specifically, the legend of Orpheus. It was my first time in a large play, that ran for audiences with complete strangers in them. It was also one of the most trying and challenging roles I’ve ever taken on, so it was nice to hear that the role had helped me grow as an actress. Especially if it comes from a theater director that you respect.
